No. The 7-day trial starts without entering any card details; you only provide payment information if you switch to a paid plan after the trial.
Payment is processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle issues the invoice and handles VAT (for B2B sales within the EU, reverse charge is applied based on VIES VAT-number validation). On your bank statement the charge appears as "Paddle".
